Pickleball - Buena Vista & Salida, Colorado Visitor Guide

Buena Vista & Salida, Colorado

The Peak To Peak pickleball club was founded in 2015 and is an all-volunteer club with 510(3)(C) status that exists to support and promote the fast-growing sport of Pickleball in Chaffee County. The club currently has approximately 300 members (up from 125 at the beginning of 2022), and administrates pickleball play year-round at outdoor public courts in Salida and Buena Vista, as well as indoor courts at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds during winter months.

Our annual pickleball tournament, the “Rally in the Valley” typically attracts over 200 players, including locals and visiting players from across Colorado, and even a few neighboring states. Pickleball is often described as being a mix of tennis, and ping-pong, with a little bit of chess thrown in. It can be played as singles or doubles, but informal recreational play is usually played as doubles with four players. Like many “racquet” sports, it is fun, easy to learn, and challenging to master.

The schedule for play as well as lots more information can be found on our website:
