The mission of the Chaffee County Visitors Bureau is to work to sustainably manage tourism growth and create economic opportunities for our tourism-related businesses that also support jobs and other businesses in our community.

The Chaffee County Visitors Bureau (CCVB) is a panel authorized under C.R.S. 30-11-107.5(4) to administer Chaffee County’s tourism fund and to advertise and market tourism in Chaffee County. 

CCVB consists of ten voting members. Three of the ten voting include the Executive Director of the Salida Chamber of Commerce, the Executive Director of the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce, and the Executive Director of the Poncha Springs Chamber of Commerce. (If Poncha Springs does not have a Chamber of Commerce, such a person is a representative affiliated with tourism who is recommended by the Town of Poncha Springs). To qualify for the other seven position on the CCVB, an applicant shall be appointed from the tourism industry.  One member must be appointed from the lodging industry.  Each person is appointed to a three year term.
