OURS – The Unfollow Tour with Special Guest Damien Musto. 21+ In the landscape that is the legendary New Jersey music scene, Damien Musto has always been laser-focused, determined to hone his craft. For nearly two decades the singer-songwriter and longtime owner/engineer of Lucky Penny Studios (in Caldwell) has embodied the work-hard, play-hard rock-n-roll mentality, earning a dedicated fanbase along the way. He cut his teeth as the guitarist for several respected indie rock bands throughout the early aughts, including small a.m. — who were signed to NJ record label, Childlike Records (Val Emmich, The Milwaukees) — and Hey Tiger, which was led by vocalist Christina Alessi. That run culminated in a massive performance opening for Bon Jovi at Metlife Stadium. In the years that followed Damien opened his recording studio where he utilized his skills as an engineer and producer. That work included working on fellow NJ singer-songwriter, Kristy Chmura’s lauded album, “stained…glass heart”. As the world comes out of its post-Covid haze, Damien has been having one of the busiest years of his career. He’s finished up working on two anticipated forthcoming Kristy Chmura EPs, toured for two months performing throughout the U.S. with popular rock band, OURS, and he’s currently hard at work writing and recording his debut solo EP with producer, Jimmy Gnecco, frontman of OURS. The lead single, “Open Up Your Heart” off the forthcoming album showcases Damien in top form. Warmly familiar yet simultaneously exhilarating and refreshing, soaring guitars licks and layered vocal melodies.
