4th of July
Whether you’re celebrating the 4th of July in Salida or Buena Vista or a combination of the two, here is a list of festivities for both locations.
4th of July “Mas(k)querade” Celebration:
Bring your mask (and costume) to Salida this year for their 4th of July “Mas(k)querade” Celebration. Prizes will be awarded to mask and costume contest winners. To be entered into the contest, simply share a photo of your mask/costume and tag @salidabusinessalliance on Facebook or Instagram. In addition to the theme of the day, there will also be fun activities around the city. All are welcome and all activities are free for both spectators and participants.
The first event of the day is Chalk Art in Alpine Park from 2-4pm, followed by the Stationary Mas(k)querade Parade from 4-6pm at Thonhoff Park. Once the sun sets, look for Lights with Bikes starting at 9pm under the nearly full moon. To get more information about the events for the day and details on how to participate, click here.
Currently, the City of Salida is still planning on hosting fireworks this year, weather permitting.
